Phonathon is an essential part of our annual giving campaign, enabling us to connect with alumni, parents, and friends of the College. The mission of Centre Phonathon is to ethically solicit financial gifts to the College in aid of scholarships and the overall Centre Experience. In Fall 2010, thirty current students made these important calls and raised over $335,000 from more than 2,700 donors.

When to Expect Our Call

We host two calling seasons each fiscal year. The first runs through September and October to aid the campaign kickoff leading up to Family Weekend and Homecoming. The second runs through February and March as we approach the final leg of the annual campaign.

We only call constituents who have not yet made a gift or pledge to the College in the current fiscal year. If you pledge in the fall, we will not call you in the spring.

Phonathon is the easiest way to pledge your support to Centre. Make sure we have your phone number on record so that you won’t miss the opportunity to speak with a current student.

The Story So Far

Thank you to everyone who picked up the phone and made a gift or pledge to Centre during the Fall 2010 Phonathon. Our grand total was $335,669 in gifts and pledges from 2,766 alumni, parents, and friends. Fifty-six percent of people we talked with made a pledge, with an average gift of over $120.

Our Team

We are very proud to have a fantastic group of students on hand to connect with our constituents. Here are just a few of the people you might hear from during our next calling season.

Erin Jansen ’12, Caller
Fall 2010 Caller of the Season

Erin has been a caller for three seasons and is quickly working her way up the all-time leader board. She has raised over $30,000 for Centre in her calling career and was named the Fall 2010 Caller of the Season.

Roxy Lewis ’11, Shift Leader and Caller
Fall 2010 Shift Leader of the Season

Roxy is our longest serving shift leader and has worked with Phonathon since her freshman year. She has raised over $100,000 in her career, which is more than any other current caller. Roxy was named the Fall 2010 Shift Leader of the Season, which was voted on by the callers.

Katy Bender ’11, Caller
Fall 2010 New Caller of the Season

Katy has just completed her first season of calling and proved to be an instant pro. In just nine weeks, she learned the ropes and went on to raise nearly $15,000. This led her to be named the Fall 2010 New Caller of the Season.

Cortney Miller ’11, Caller

Fall 2010 Callers’ Caller of the Season

Cortney is our longest serving caller and has raised nearly $100,000 in her career. This fall, Cortney was voted by her peers to have the best call room attitude. She always brings a smile and great work ethic with her to each shift.
