Dick Frymire is the Senior Partner of Frymire, Evans, Peyton, Teague & Cartwright.  He is married to Phyllis, Centre Class of 1954, and they have six children.

After graduation from Centre College, Dick served with the U.S. Marines as a jet fighter pilot.  He then entered law school and after graduation from the University of Kentucky came to Madisonville where he has practiced with the same law firm since 1960.  Dick has been active in government service, having served two terms as a State Representative and one four year term as State Senator.  He was Majority Leader of the Kentucky Senate in 1968. 

During that session, he was recalled to active duty with the U.S. Air Force and flew reconnaissance missions in Korea in 1969.  He was Commander, 165th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron when, in 1971, he was appointed Adjutant General of Kentucky.  He served six years n that capacity commanding the Kentucky Army and Air National Guards.  He then served as Assistant to the Commander, Tactical Air Command, United States Air Force for five and one-half years.  He is a command pilot with over 3,000 hours in jet fighter and reconnaissance aircraft.

Dick has had a career in public service as well.  He served as Regent at Murray State University and chaired its Board for three years.  He became a Trustee at Centre College in 1981 and is now Trustee Emeritus.  He served as President of the Kentucky Historical Society for two years and is a present member of its Foundation.  He is a founder of the Kentucky Military History Museum located in Frankfort.  Dick has served as a Governor of the Kentucky State Bar Association and is a former President of the Hopkins County Bar Association.
